There’s good news to spare this week in the Land of American LNG and we’re proud to be a shameless promoter of those harnessing our abundance of natural gas to fuel countries around the world. Reese Energy Consulting today first directs the bullhorn to Va.-based Venture Global LNG, which has inked a 20-year sales agreement with Poland for an additional 2 MTPA. The latest purchase triples Venture Global’s shipments there in three years to 5.5 MTPA from its Calcasieu Pass and Plaquemines LNG facilities in La. On the heels of announcing its first stock dividend to shareholders, Houston-based Cheniere has growth on the brain at its La., and Texas terminals. Regarded as the pioneer of the American LNG export phenomena with the largest U.S. production platform, Cheniere will complete its sixth train at Sabine Pass before year end, bringing its total capacity at both facilities to 45 MTPA. Meanwhile, the company says it also will make a FID in 1Q 2022 for a Stage 3 expansion at its Corpus Christi terminal adding another 10 MTPA of capacity.
